America the Beautiful

I’ve always loved the words to this song, but mostly the verses we don’t seem to sing, or take to heart. They are hopeful verses, filled with introspection and personal responsibility:
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!

God shed His grace on thee,
